Expert Witness

The Practice runs an Expert Witness service for optical clinical negligence and GOC fitness to practice cases.

Mr. Kevin Lewis has been undertaking this work since 2006 for both claimant and defendant.  He has completed more than 60 reports with 45% of these being claimant based and 55% for the defence. 

The areas of expertise covered include:

• Spectacle dispensing
• Contact lenses
• Ocular pathology, including glaucoma, retinal detachment, ocular tumours and macular degeneration
